First of all, this bag features a total of 8 pockets throughout, 4 of which are zippered. One of the zippered ones is specifically for valuables. This is a pretty cool feature in that popping your watch, wallet or other valuables into this protected pocket is a much better solution than having to deal with carrying them in your pants pockets while playing the course. This helps to free up that space for tees, divot fixers, and any other golf related items you want to have close at hand. The additional 3 zippered pockets are perfect for storing balls, gloves, sunscreen or anything else you want to secure. A long pocket that runs down the side of the bag is perfect for golf shoes, a light jacket, or even a few cans of your favorite beverage.
The pockets that do not include a zipper are well thought out as well including one just for your cell phone, one for a score card and pencil, and one termed a ZBP or zipperless ball pocket which makes grabbing a loose ball while in play extremely easy. All in all, the 8 pockets on the Ogio Stand Bag are fantastic and add to the enjoyment and use of this product.

Rather than just having a few separators at the top of the bag, the Ogio Grom Stand Bag features a proprietary feature called the WOODE club management system which helps to organize as well as protect your valuable clubs.The woods have their own place with 3 separators, as do the irons, and there is even a separate section for your putter or putters. This is a fantastic addition in that it works perfectly to protect the graphite or composite shafts of your woods from the steel found in your irons. Each club is where it should be and all are protected from each other.
Of course, one of the major features of this bag is the fact that it can stand on its own. That is certainly not a brand new innovation, but the lightweight fiberglass legs of the Ogio Grom Stand Bag do a perfect job of supporting the bag when you need to stand it up, and staying away when you are carrying it on your shoulder. One small gripe is that the legs do bounce a bit when you walk which can be a bit on the annoying side…perhaps a future version might include a feature to allow the legs to snap into place against the bag when not in use. Overall though, they work well and do their job.
Finally, the overall construction of the bag, from the well padded straps, to the quality, durable outer covering make this bag something that will withstand the elements and likely years of abuse. Ogio makes quality products and this one certainly falls in line.
